Coir Doormats
Coir doormats are made from the long, brown fibers of the coconut husk. Thus, they are far safer for the environment than doormats made from synthetics that are nonbiodegradable and might even trigger allergic reactions in those with sensitivities to these materials. The eco-friendly nature of coco coir doormats makes them a great addition to other items found in green homes, such as recycled water and solar electricity. Coir doormats, however, are sturdy enough to also use in other settings, such as on farms or at industrial businesses.
Coir Fiber Mats
Coir Fiber Mats are made on traditional handlooms. Fiber mats are manufactured by insertion of coir fiber in the base fabric. These door mats have a very compact brush firmly held by the base fabric and therefore these mats are very durable. Fiber mats are available in woven and beveled designs also.
Coir Matting
Made on traditional handlooms or powerlooms. Available in natural beach, solid colours and a multitude of designs/patterns made by weave and colour combinations and with or without latex backing. Quality of the matting is determined by the type of yarn and weave used. Mainly used as floor coverings and floor runners for furnishing stairs/corridors. Also used for wall panelling, ceiling, lining and echo-control.
